Google Maps not working in backend

  • Hey,

I’ve got something really strange happening with my Google Maps field. When I go to edit a post in the WP dashboard it will display the map with it’s default location. However, if I click in the search field above the map to try and place a pin on the map I get an error message saying, “This page can’t load Google Maps correctly”. The map will display on the frontend though, albeit with the default location.

I have the API key setup for the frontend and in functions.php so that it will load GMaps in the WP dashboard and on the frontend. Both work.

Here’s what it looks like on page load – https://snag.gy/tg3AL1.jpg
Here’s what it looks like if I try place a pin – https://snag.gy/lVmeNA.jpg

I’ve gone through the Google API console to make sure that I have everything setup correctly there. As far as I can see, everything is.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks!
    Mike

Activate this api in the library:
Geocoding, Geolocation, Maps javascript, and Places api.
