Google Maps Location not displaying after saving

I have a google Maps field which correctly looks up a location and puts a pin on a map. I save the record and the map changes back to the default location with no pin.

The correct data has been saved though and will display on the front end, but on the back end it still looks like the location has not been set which will confuse the client.

I have no errors in the console and no errors against the API key in the Google Cloud Platform metrics. From a front end its working perfectly, its just the backend on saving / editing existing record.

Any ideas?
