Google Maps geolocation data

  • I have a few google maps fields in a form which I’m showing on the front-end (using acf-form()). What I’d like to do is get at the geocoder information from the map and populate a hidden field with the postal town/locality of the place selected. I intend to store this information in a taxonomy. The maps work fine, but I’m not sure how to get at the geocoding data – I can see it all in the console when I log it, but all the ACF stuff is in closures. If anyone has any pointers about where I can get at the data (I’d like to get the data when the form is submitted) that would be really useful – I’d rather not create my own field if I can help it.
