Getting checkbox values inside filter

Hi there.

I’m trying to validate a checkbox field in the frontend. The checkbox values are generated dynamically and I have to check for several checkboxes to see if any of them has any value selected.
I’m using a filter to get the checkbox field, but now I need to access the checkbox values.
How can I do that inside the filter? I just need to know if there are no selected values, no need to identify which ones are selected. Just need an “is empty” information.
