get_post_type() on postype archive returning 'acf'

I have a strange issue going on. When I browse to the url corresponding to a custom postype archive. For instance http://www.domain.com/actors/ it won’t use the archive-actors.php template file. I did some tests and came to the conclusion that get_post_type() is returning acf instead of actors.

Without the plugin it is working all well.

I’m using version 4.3.8 on wordpress 3.9.1

Is anybody familiar with this issue?
