get_fields('options') for global options doesn't work in latest update

$options[‘global’] = get_fields(‘options’); — will not work at all in the latest update to ACF.

The data is saved to the DB in the WP admin, but displaying it in the template returns an empty array.

I have used this method on a number of other sites and if i update ACF PRO they break too.

Was this by design or is it a bug? I cannot find any documentation on this.

This is a know issue and 5.4.1 should fix it as far as I know.
