I have recently updated my version of ACF to 4.2.2, though the issue I am about to raise has not been fixed in the latest version.
I have used the “image” field previously and it worked fine. Though now I am unable to change the image.
When adding a new image(or change the current image), I click “Add Image” (which from my understanding from the documentation should show the WP pop-up), there is a pop-up but it is not the WP pop-up. Therefore it does not show any of the images I currently have in my media library.
As a result I try to upload an image from my computer but everytime I try to upload an image it shows this error: An error occurred in the upload. Please try again later.
The main issue, is that I am unable to change images via the pop-up which appears which is not the WP version.
Hi @nez
Thanks for the bug report. I’m not sure what you mean by “not a WP popup”.
Maybe you could attach a screenshot?
Hi @nez
This IS a WP pop-up, may I ask why you thought it wasn’t?
The issue will most likely be caused by 2 things:
1. Check your console log for the AJAX data recieved when uploading the file. Is there an error in the returned AJAX data?
2. Are you using a user account which is not administrator? If so, you must have the correct permissions for the user to upload an image. There are a lot of threads about this on the net but unfortunately I haven’t written a doc about it.
Let me know what you find.
Thanks
E
Hi Elliot,
I thought it was not the WP pop-up because it was not showing the images but then realised that was actually the problem.
Thank you for your advice. 🙂
I am not well experienced when it comes to using (or finding) the console log, after much research, I found and used the cosole for Firefox (firebug).
1) There was an error with relating to my coding in a short code file, after removing the offending code, the images appeared in the wp-popup. Also was able to upload images with no issues or errors 😀
2) I am logged in as an administrator, and so far the only account holder, as I have not created any other user accounts.
Thank you soo much for your help and advice

Hi @matthieup
I’m not sure why @nez posted that response as private, I have made it public for you to read the solution
Thanks
E
