Flush Unused Custom Field Meta Data

Hi all,

I’m often confronted with the fact that, when you delete or change an ACF custom field, not all of its meta gets deleted, resulting in all kinds of puzzling errors with new or reinstated fields.

I’ve seen some threads here that hint to this having been a problem for over 10 years now and no solution is being offered by the developer.

Shouldn’t it be about time the plugin gets a solid “delete all meta data” function for this?

Yes. It should be a function by now. JetEngine has it. The current alternative, unfortunately, is to search for the metadata in the database in phpMyAdmin (or whatever).
