File Upload – Version Control

Hey guys. Would love this to be either in the core or as an addon.

Basically when you click to upload on a ‘file upload version control’ field the file uploaded will generate an incremental filename and also list previous iterations of the field with access to download it if necessary. Update notes would be nice too. Even an option to mark the files state i.e (draft, to be proofed, final).

Thanks for the request, but this would be far too complicated for the core of ACF.

Perhaps you could think about writing this field type yourself, or contracting a developer to create it for your project?
