File field: restrict uploads (size, type)

I know the update is for ‘Uploads’ and it’s working fine for files that are ‘uploaded’ into the media library , it doesn’t work if the file being chosen already exists in the library.

Just wondering if that can be changed to include files that are already in the media library?

Thanks for the post.

It is not very clear from your description what you are aiming to achieve.

Let me take this opportunity to point out that there is now an option to restrict the size and image type of the files that you want to upload via the field settings edit page.
