Not sure if anyone else has this issue or more to the point a solution for it.
I am trying to create my own select field pre-populated with options through code.
It works and it’s a “choice” type field, however when I try and use the values from it to dictate which other fields should appear in my group through conditional logic, it’s greyed out.
If I create exactly the same field using the core select field type, I can use the values from that field in conditional logic as expected.
I’ve tried this a couple of ways (including using the official template field plugin) and I can’t seem to get it to work (such that I can use the values in conditional logic).
Most recently I chose to try by extending the core acf select field for this (vs. just acf field) so my field is as close as possible to how the core select field works and still no joy.
What am I missing here?
