Empty Number Field Defaults to 0

I’m using an ACF field to store prices on a custom post type. For one of them I need to delete the price — stop using that custom field for that product. If I delete the field value and submit, it simply changes the value to zero.

I tried enabling custom fields for that post type (supports => ‘custom-fields’) and then deleting the field that way — under Custom Fields hit delete to remove the field & clear out the value in the ACF field and then hit update. Still comes right back with price set to 0.

The only way I was able to remove it was directly via the database.

Thanks for the bug report. I’ll add this to the to-do and allow the number field to save a blank value.

What do you think the time frame on making this change would be? are we talking weeks, months, at some stage.
