Empty fields in field group conditional statement

  • Can someone help me put a php conditional statement together to do the following

    If <All fields> in <fieldgroup> are empty => echo 'fields are empty'
    Else => echo 'fields have something within'

    Thanks

  • Hi @nima

    To do that, you need to know the field group ID, which can be found from the URL of the field group editor page. With the field group ID, you should be able to do it like this:

    // Set the field group ID
    $field_group_id = 77;

    // Get All fields in the chosen field group
    $fields = acf_get_fields($field_group_id);

    // Set the flag
    $has_value = false;

    foreach( $fields as $field ){
        if( get_field($field['name']) ){
            $has_value = true;
            break;
        }
    }

    if( $has_value ){
        echo 'fields have something within';
    } else {
        echo 'fields are empty';
    }

    I hope this helps 🙂
