I’ve read all the stuff in including ACF in plugins and themes and I always have the same thought.
Why not a version just for distribution. It can run the backend, adding the fieldgroups to wherever the need to go, show the fields on the front end, etc, ect…
But there is no admin functions for defining and adding field groups. In other words, it will support what I’ve built into my plugin but that’s it.
I think I’d even pay a little extra for that. You know, like .NET dstribution code. or Java distro. Lets you run what was built with it, but that’s it.
Anyway, just a thought 🙂
