I was wondering if it is somehow possible to have different captions on the same image with Gallery Field? Let me explain in more detail.
Let’s say I have a post that has a gallery of 3 images and each image has its own caption. If I then create a new post and want to reuse 2 of the images used in posts 1. Can I then have different captions on these two images without the caption getting changed on post 1?
If this is not possible with Gallery Field, do you know if it is possible in any other way with afc?
You could use a repeater field instead of a gallery field?
In the repeater, have one image field and one text field which you use to specify the caption.

Unfortunately using the repeater plugin means you don’t get the option to have grid view. Is there any way around this?
Ultimately I love the gallery add-on but need to break the relationship between the WordPress media fields and ACF.
