I would like to see the ability to set a default value for the User field type. I envisage that you would have the option to have either a specific user, or to insert the current user when the field is created.
Erm… OK, but why is there a forum called “Feature Requests”?!
Well, because these forums are old. The developer used to use this forum for bug reports and feature requests because he read all the topics and answered questions himself. He does not do this any more because he just does not have time, there are many hundreds of topics started each month and if he spent his time answering questions and reading requests he’d never have the time to work on ACF.
The only people that answer questions here or look at this forum are other users. I am another user, I’m also part of support, but I’m not part of the new(er) ticket system. Basically, I and others try to help uses, try to verify bug reports, etc. But if you really need the developer to look at something then the best way to get his attention is a new ticket. I’m sure that feature requests there are kept is some kind of a list.
