Date Picker field generates date

Hi,

I have two date picker fields – one is for the start date and one for the end date of events. These are working well in that I can fill the field in using the date picker and the field appears on the relevant page.

What i need to do is have some events that do not have a date. If i simply leave the field empty it seems to be auto filled with the current date.

Is there a way to stop this happening?

You can add the Jquery as follows
