Hey ACF Crew!
First off, I love your product. I find it far superior to building themes than any of the other “Visual Editors” available. Less bloat, less convoluted, and way more flexible. Now…
Have you guys ever given thought to creating a Docset for your docs that can be used with software like Dash? (https://kapeli.com/dash). No affiliation here, I just use it a lot, and I constantly find myself scouring your documentation when building themes. Would be cool to be able to look it up in Dash so that I can A) have it available offline, and B) do my ACF research the same way I do my WordPress, PHP, CSS, HTML, Javascript, Python, Ruby, Rails, etc… research. And i’m sure others would find it useful too.
There are a few neat articles on it:

+1 support this. It will be very useful
I just made this for myself, hope it helps you guys until someone can commit to maintaining it indefinitely!
Hey @75th
Tested ad works great, thanks a lot.
What about put this to git repo within generation script?
I think it would we useful.
Thanks!
Yeah, I may work on that sometime. The Dash Docset Contribution Checklist makes it crystal clear that by submitting a docset, you’re signing up to maintain it indefinitely. I’m not ready for that kind of commitment. Plus, there are currently many manual steps in the build process that I haven’t scripted yet, and that’s a time commitment itself.
I’ll be sure to post back here if I do any more with this, though!
Ok, will follow this topic.
I’m ready to help with maintaining this stuff.
Thanks!
