So, after much searching here. I am wondering if anyone can either point me to a resource for utilizing a custom back end form for adding new records to my custom post types or share how they have done this?
To be clear, not a front end form. One that is used from the back end after tuning off the ‘Show UI’ option for the custom post type.

Have you considered creating a custom admin page and assigning your field groups to this page?

Than you for your input, what you are describing allows for only one set of values.
What I need is something that will allow me to customize a data entry page that will allow the posting and editing of a custom post type from the backend.
