Custom Fields and Permalinks…confusion!

Hey there!

I am trying to create an archive page based on custom post types and a repeater field. So for example, I have:

Events -> Custom Post Types
Location -> Repeater field

I originally had location as a category, and could access the posts via a URL similar to:

http://www.example.com/festival/?location=London

How can I do the same thing now, with Location as a repeater field instead of a category?

If I were you I’d create a custom taxonomy called location. While it’s probably possible to do what you’re trying, a custom taxonomy to hold you locations will be a lot simpler in the long run.

Glad that will work for you. Sometimes it’s easy to overlook the easy solutions, done it many times myself.
