Hello, I would like to create a plugin that adds a new Field Type called Custom Button. This field would essentially be a group that contains fields like button color, button text, link, and other related options.
I have followed the instructions here https://www.advancedcustomfields.com/resources/creating-a-new-field-type/ and have managed to get the new field type created. I was wondering if there is any suggested way to pull an already existing Field Group and display it every time when someone chooses the field type Custom Button and then goes to edit the Post? Essentially like creating a template field group that can be reused.
If there is not a way to do that how can you create new individual fields in PHP and display them on the backend? I read this article https://www.advancedcustomfields.com/resources/register-fields-via-php/ but this does not display the field when you are editing a post.
