Custom field to store user bookmark status

Hi,

Completely newbe to acf.

I’m thinking about using post custom field to store a user bookmark status (that would come from any bookmarking/favourites plugin, I don’t really care about that part). Is this possible? Can custom field store dynamic data this way?

I’m trying to make any bookmarking plugin to work with Content Views to let users filter posts by their bookmark status. In order to do that I would need to put bookmark status in post’s custom field.

I understand there is no out of the box solution. But is it doable at all? Any tips where to start would be much appreciated.

No one has answered because this is not something that can be done using a custom field. You would need to
1) Store every bookmark per user
2) Store every user bookmark per post
3) Create some kind of “option” value that tracks all users and their bookmarks.
