Create new input that use camera from Smartphones?

Can I create a new input type for front-end form that use the camera of an iOS or Android smartphone? So the users can take pictures rather than upload pictures just like with the file/image input?

If so, can anyone help me to do this? I would be very grateful if someone could share the code.
