Create/edit ACF field(s) configuration via (ACF or WP) API

Hi,

I’m trying to find a way to automate my initial field creation (maybe edits later too) through an ACF API if there is any.

The documentation is only referring to php methods as API – which is internal. I need an external/exposed API to interact with my scripts.

Is there such a thing with ACF (I have pro as well if it’s available only on that)? Am I the only one needing this?
