Connect column-content

I’m using ACF for displaying different columns. For “regular” pages, it works fine. But what I want is a special link page with different categories. This means, I’m having a category in my very left column. If I chose a category, the belonging links show up. If I chose another category on the left, the links on the right change. I was thinking about some kind of accordion but in a horizontal way and within my created custom fields. Is there a solution, which is not too complicated?
