Hi Elliot and everyone! Why not adding, in gallery field option, a checkbox to choose the default backend display view? (List or grid)?
Obviously giving the possibility to edit title, caption, ALT etc dirctly by clicking on its and not simply showing them (in list view)

Thanks for the feedback. I started working on the all new gallery field yesterday which is pretty exiting, and at the moment, it’s looking like I am removing the list view completely because there is now a sidebar panel with all the image data – just like when you get a PW media popup!
This will allow for quick data editing / viewing!
