Changing image text URLs to image objects

Hi there,

I’m updating a website where are the images for posts are saved as plain text URLs.

I’ve got it now so each post has a ACF repeater field with a text field that has the URL of the image.

How can I convert these image URLs in text fields to an image object? If I simply change the text field to an image field it doesn’t work.
