Changed Slug…Now Can't Save

  • I have a group field with several text sub-fields. The first sub-field’s slug was incorrectly named “Street” when it should have been “street”. So I changed the “s” and broke the field… 🙂

    It won’t save new data in the field anymore. This has to be a simple fix, but I’m not finding it. What should I do to clear out old data / update ACF’s fields / successfully make a change like the above?

    I’ve searched, but can’t find the answer even though I’m sure this has to be a common problem for users.

  • I got it working by duplicating the entire Field Group. The duplication successfully saved data in the trouble field.

    Any information as to why this all happened would be appreciated. Thanks!
