Hi!
Tried to find a solution for this, but couldn’t find it yet.
When using the ACF page_link, on the front-end the text “Click here” is shown. Where can I change this to “Klik hier” (Dutch) or some other text?
You can check it here, where it shows “Gemist? …. Click here”
Example
Thanks in advance!
Rgds,
Kees.
Could you show the template code you are using? Sounds like the text is hard-coded somehow. Here is the documentation about the page link field, and how the text is generated.
Please note, however, that it is generally bad practice to have link text read something along the lines of “click here”; you should have more descriptive link text. See https://www.w3.org/QA/Tips/noClickHere or http://stephanieleary.com/2015/05/why-click-here-is-a-terrible-link-and-what-to-write-instead/ or https://jimthatcher.com/news-061607.htm or https://www.smashingmagazine.com/2012/06/links-should-never-say-click-here/.
Thanks.
I didn’t hard code anything. Just using standard ACF. Somehow the text “Click here” is generated (by ACF?), but I can’t find where. And indeed, I want to change it to some more descriptive text, but again, I can’t find where.
How are you adding the link in your pages? With a template tag or via shortcode? Clearly, somewhere the output HTML for the link must be generated in some template (or functions.php?).
I created a new Post Type, named “Programma”.
This includes the ACF fields from a group called “Programma”.
In this group is the field “uitzending_gemist_programma”, which is the pagelink field.
The output you see here: http://klokradio.nl/programma/spelen-met-vuur/
is generated by Content Views-plugin.
I looked for the obvious places where “Click here” could be found, to no avail. I must have overlooked something…
