Change tabIndex for two different repeaters in a field group

I have a baseball linescore (runs by inning) that has innings 1-9 in one repeater and innings 10-18 with runs hits and errors for both teams in the second repeater.

I want to have the tabIndex go from the top row of the first repeater to the top row of the second repeater, then the bottom row of the first repeater to the bottom row of the second repeater.

To complicate matters, some of the inputs get disabled based on the number of innings in an innings select.

Any thoughts on how to accomplish this?
