Hi,
I defined a custom field inside a field group, with slug estimated_cost, of type Number.
After sometime we needed to allow writing number ranges (like 300 – 400), so I changed the field type to Text.
Now however, every time I type something different then a number (for example 300 – 400) it saves it as a number (300).
Even deleting the field and reinserting it with the same slug did not help. For now I created a new field with different slug and plan somehow to copy the values to the original, but how do I change the original to text type?

Hmm… Are you using acf/update_field filter for this field?
