Can I populate fields in ACF via REST API?

We have a reservation system and I’d like it to be able to push data to ACF and populate eg the ‘prices’ field of our products.

Q) Can the fields in ACF be populated/updated from an external application via a REST API?

If so, can someone please point me in the right direction to find documentation and examples for this?
