First up, amazing plugin. Works so well for me.
My client has asked me to see if we can do some conditional forms within a users profile. I’m using Buddypress and a user is able to edit multiple fields about themselves, and I can create as many of these as I like, however these are limited. There is no conditional fields nor the option to include a repeater.
Is there any way to integrate ACF into Buddypress profiles?
I’m not sure on this one as I have not used buddypress before.
ACF can add custom fields to a user profile page, but it is yet to render these fields correctly for front end plugin such as buddy press.
This will be fixed in the near future.
Sorry I can’t be of much help on this one.
OK thanks, let me know if you get to this
So wish this was easy to implement with the current ACF plugin. Have needed this for the past year… 🙁
I hear you @dannybatista !
Any progress on this? Is it just a case of dealing with the somewhat odd Buddypress templating system?
Any progress on this?
Hey Elliot, was this issue ever successfully resolved? I’m getting into my first Buddypress project and trying to scope out what plugins I should use for what fields.
I’m hoping for a solution as well 🙁 Apparently BP doesn’t use CPTs, things like “groups” are just a BP component so they are not accessible by ACF out of the box. I’m hoping to find a solution that lets me add ACF fields as freely as I do everywhere else, and then possibly using a Gravity Form (or other custom form solution) during the registration process to populate those fields.
Any other suggestions out there for making the connection?
Discovered this today. I’m trying to figure out how to have repeaters in the BuddyPress profile: https://github.com/locomo/acf-field-buddypress-groups
Not sure if it’s a solution. Still learning.
