I am getting started with ACF Blocks. I am following the article doc on this site.
To test, my set up is:
WP 5.5
ACF 5.9 Pro
1- Clean install of WP
2- Only ACF installed
3- Default 2020 theme
4- One custom field: Image
My functions file is exactly as per the doc (changed the field name to match mine) and the template-part is exactly as per the docs (changed to reflect only my field).
I see it show when I select the block to add it, but when I select it, it collapses on itself. Its still there because if I click around it I can select it and get the field options on the right:

Thank you!
Hi, I am having the same issue here… have you found a solution?
I had to re-save some of my blocks custom fields in the custom field editor. I don’t really know why some of them needed this while others didn’t, but this solved the issue that appears to be the same one you’re seeing.
No, I emailed support and nothing. I thought it was something I was doing wrong. I can’t get any of the blocks to work, I’m stuck.
I’ve replicated this on a second site, simply hitting “update” on the field group assigned to that block type resolves my issue with the ACF block not displaying in the editor.
@niaccurshi
Ive tried that and it hasn’t worked for me to fix the issue.
