In the settings for the file field type, there’s an option to “Limit the media library choice” by “All” or “Uploaded to post”.
It looks like if I choose “All”, the files are not actually attached to the post; there’s just the ACF reference to the file and no way to actually interact with it as a post attachment. Is that correct? If so, is there a way to change that?
If I check “Uploaded to post”, they do get attached to the post, but for the specific case I’m working on right, it would be better if the user could select any file already in the media library.
