Add ACF field to existing Featured Image metabox

Simple question: Is it possible to add a custom field I created with ACF to the native WordPress Featured Image metabox?

I don’t think that it’s directly possible to do this. You can add your own controls to this area, but not through ACF. Here’s a tutorial on it https://generatewp.com/add-custom-fields-to-featured-image-meta-box/.
