Hi, can I add a custom field in a plugin?
I have the SUMO Reward Points plugin that generates codes that when I exchange them, they generate the points I have awarded them, but I want to put a text field so that some codes can add text such as “You have won the X prize”, the user when you enter the code to exchange them instead of appearing points, the text will appear. Can it be done with this plugin ?. regards
This is a bit beyond the scope of what you’ll probably get help with. If the other plugin uses a custom post type then you can probably add a field to an admin form. Using ACF fields when the other plugin is showing content or doing something with the value in the other plugin would be completely dependent on the other plugin. The best source of information would be the other plugin. If they allow the use of a WP custom field in the same way that you want to use an ACF field then you probably can, but like I said, you’ll need to ask them about it.

For anyone keeping up with my @wp_acf adventure today I actually made some progress with "ACF Shortcake" that mashes together the functionality of Shortcake and ACF Field groups inside ACF WYSIWYG fields.
