For some reason, I simply can’t get the code to add any new field groups or fields to existing groups.
Are there any reasons why the code in the documentation link would nto work straight out of the box to add a field? I’ve used unique keys and it still isn’t adding anything to the field groups at all.
Where/When are you trying to create field groups or add fields?
Right now I’m just trying to get the code to work. I run the code and no field groups get added in the backend.
Are they supposed to appear in the backend “Field Groups” option?
No, when adding groups and field using PHP the do not show in the admin. The fields will only appear where the location rules are set for.
Is it possible to generate new repeater fields inside existing field groups which are in the Admin area?
To permanently add them to the field group so that they appear in the admin? Not by using any of the documentation on this site. You’ll need to research how ACF does it, how the fields are created/stored and then code something custom.
