When I hit the publish button nothing happens when posting a custom post type with ACF enabled. The post simply get’s saved as a draft. I can, using the quick edit, change the status from draft to publish. I have confirmed this issue happens with 5.2.4 and 5.2.5 and goes away when I downgraded to 5.2.3.
To recreate my conditionals. Use the following.
- Install ACF Pro version 5.2.4 or 5.2.5
- Add the following to setup a custom post type called books: https://cloudup.com/cV5EtUKYEYl
- Attempt to add a new custom book post.
Right so this might be one of those times where nothing needs fixed as one solution is to remove the custom code which is moving the post_submit_meta_box to the bottom. I figured I’d still report it incase someone else runs into the same problem.
Have you tried moving the meta box without changing its ID?
