ACF overwriting from Draft to Publish

  • I have a strange issue going on with our ACF pro. We have our site setup where when the admin posts a blog post, they can add some custom field data like product image/text/content and it will show up on that blog posts’ sidebar.

However, when the blog post is saved as a draft, then later came back to and published, that ACF data overwrites all of the blogs posts’ data. So all of the blog posts data is replaced with this new blog post that was published from a draft.

    Any thoughts on this?

  • Hi @bwsmedia

I’ve tested it on my end but failed to reproduce the issue. It’s possible that there’s something on your site which updates all of the custom fields on your site. Could you please try to reproduce the issue on one of the WordPress’ stock themes (like Twenty Sixteen) with other plugins deactivated? If it disappears, then you can activate the theme and plugins one by one to see which one causes the issue.

    Thanks 🙂
