ACF Multi-select Search term only matches from the beginning

Hi,

I have an ACF multi-select taxonomy field, it has a search/autocomplete function (select multiple is set to true).

If I type in ‘Web’ it will find categories that match:

– Web dev
– Web frontend dev
– Web backend dev

However if I type in ‘dev’ it returns no results.

Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks.

Just to expand on this, I’ve found that the above scenario *should* work, however, if the names contain brackets, whatever is inside the brackets is not searchable.

Searching ‘dev’ does actually return:

– Web dev (lorem)
– Web frontend dev (lorem)
– Web backend dev (lorem)

However, searching for ‘lorem’ returns no results.

It’s as if the strings inside the brackets are being ignored?
