acf/load_value into user form field

So I have the following:

function games_played( $value ) {
return user_game_count();
}
add_filter('acf/load_value/name=games_played', 'games_played');

the user_game_count() function returns a wpdb call and returns a number of games played by the user

The acf/load is working but it sets the value for the current user for every user on the profile page, I can’t seem to find any older threads on how to use the acf/load_value on user profiles
