How do you use ACF fields from a custom post type within a custom plugin? It seems like these fields are only available inside the loop.
For example, how would you use a custom field ‘subtitle’ to create a meta description via pre_get_posts?

You need to pass the post ID where you want to get the data form to the second parameter of get_field() or the_field() function like this:
get_field('subtitle', 99);
Where “99” is the post ID where you want to get the data from.
