I have the same question! I would really like to prepare with this new function. 🙂
Edit: so I installed the Early access version of ACF (non-pro) and it doesn’t have the acf_register_block function either. So it hasn’t dropped yet in both versions. I really though it was already there when I was reading the article 🙁
Any word from the developers when this is going to land?
