Hi John,
Thanks for your response.
I had to move forward with just setting up a separate field group for the response posts and looping through that and the original post in the page template. Not quite as elegant as what I was hoping for, but it works and doesn’t have any of the potential issues that you warned about!
Thanks again.
Hi @James,
I looked at the console and didn’t see any errors and the plugin is up to date with Version 5.2.6
So it is still an issue for me.
I have the same problem on several sites.
For me, the location rules say:
Show this field group if
Post Category is equal to Events
This works great when I’m making a new post and have to set the category as part of the workflow, however when I open an existing post to make an edit, the fields preview briefly and then hide. They re-appear after a second if I uncheck the category and re-check it.
It just seems like the feature that adjusts the visibility of the fields is not checking the post data on load. I hope this can be fixed!
Just wanted to chime in and say that I’m experiencing the same problem.
Like you, I had migrated my theme options content over with backup buddy. I was trying to update an image array field and not touching the URLs, so that really threw me for a loop!
The workaround to change URLs to text fields and add the http:// to the theme output is working and set things back to normal.
Thanks for sharing your findings! It would have taken me forever to come up with that.
