I have also faced this issue and as a solution I have removed the domain protocol i.e. http: or https: and just used //example.com solved the issue in URL field value.

My site is also not hosted at GoDaddy and like said above changing the URL field to Text doesn’t solved my issue instead I have removed the domain protocol i.e. http: or https: and just used //example.com solved the issue.
