  • I just wanted to check-in and see if there’s any news regarding this. Today, I tried again with a fresh install of WP4 and used only Advanced Custom Fields and the Repeater Field Add-on to attempt to add multiple images using an iPad and/or iPhone.
I also tried adding the code above to the input.js and separately as a another JS file with no success. A single image button outside of the Repeater Fields seems to work as expected.
If there’s other code to add in order to get it to work, I would greatly appreciate it.

  • Hello. I’m experiencing the same issue. Because it was happening on a site with quite a few Plugins, I installed a fresh copy of WordPress with only Advanced Custom Fields and the Repeater Field Add-on. With only those two plugins, and the base 2014 theme, I’m unable to get the image nested inside of the Repeater to work. If I use only the image field, the single image works fine by popping-up the Media Library. The “Add Row” button does work, but then the “Add Image” button doesn’t trigger.

I attempted to use the JS noted above inside appended to the input.js file, but that doesn’t seem to help either.

    Thank you,
    -Thomas

  • Elliot,
Thanks again for the follow-up. I actually did try it with the Featured Image and wasn’t able to get that to display anything. There is a small, empty box to the left of the name, where it looks like an image might go, but it’s empty.

    Thank you again.

    All the best,
    -Thomas

  • Elliot,
Interesting. I don’t see a “Thumbnail” listed in the Element area. I only see “Featured Image”, “Post Title”, & “Post Type”. That’s okay though. I like the Repeater Field Add-On option since you can upload & edit photo’s using that method.

Thank you for all of your help.

  • Elliot,
Thanks for the quick response. I’m still not clear on how the Relationship Field could be used with Attachments (images) with the ability to see a thumbnail of the image you are selecting. If there is a way, I’d be interested in knowing.

The good news is that I somehow missed the Repeater Field Add-On with the Image Sub Field, and that does look like it would work well for my needs.

I was going to mark this as solved, but just curious about the first part of it if possible. It that part isn’t doable, just LMK and I can call it solved.

    Thanks!
    -Thomas

  • Bastien,
Yeah, you can delete database tables or the content of tables using phpMyAdmin.

  • Bastien,
Yeah, we were importing data from another site using “Ultimate CSV Importer PRO” and it turned out that the category that wasn’t working for us was due to the data having been imported incorrectly. We deleted all the data and re imported it and that resolved the issue, so you might give that a try.

    Best,
    -Thomas

  • Hey BL. For us, it actually turned out that when the data was imported into the category that was causing the issue, some of it was mapped incorrectly. Once we dropped the data and re imported it correctly, it began working fine again.

    Good luck!

  • Elliot,
Thanks for the quick follow-up. I’m working on the issue with the system admin and think there may possibly be another issue that began.

    Best Regards,
    -Thomas

  • Hello, I’m experiencing the same type of issue with a site I’m currently working on. It’s only happening with a single Category. It does happen to be the Category with the most amount of Advanced Custom Fields (35). The majority of them are Text with some each of Number, Radio Button, Select, Checkbox, & Post Object.

It just began all of a sudden after having been working and no new Plugins added. I had the system admin up the memory to 1GB for each process. If there’s anything else I can provide that would be helpful, I should be able to get any information.

The error log is showing the following (I’ve replaced the actual working domain with “domain.com”):

2013/10/11 13:48:47 [error] 55797#0: *135330 FastCGI sent in stderr: “PHP message: PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 4096 bytes) in /usr/local/www/domain.com/wp-includes/taxonomy.php on line 2777” while reading response header from upstream, client: 10.10.10.100, server: domain.com, request: “GET /wp-admin/post.php?post=135261&action=edit HTTP/1.0”, upstream: “fastcgi://unix:/var/run/php-fpm.sock:”, host: “domain.com”, referrer: “http://domain.com/dining-guide/135261/china-house-twain-harte/”
