btw, I just tested the v5.7.6 and the “show field group” works fine. I guess the bug is within the v5.7.7. At this point, since we don’t know when the v5.8 will be released, the best solution will be to downgrade.
Hi Joseph, yes, I also have the same issue and the reason is that v5.7.7 is not fully compatible with Gutenberg. The upcoming version (v5.8.0) does fix that but it’s still in beta3. WP 5.0 will be released tomorrow (Dec 6) so let’s hope ACF 5.8.0 will follow suit.
Yes, I can use groups, but for very simple things, a column layout will work way simpler and cleaner as it would not interfere with the data – no need to create subfields and be forced to use long arrays just because you wanted two columns on the backend. It will have almost the same purpose as the tabs. The problem with the tabs is that they can’t be nested.
Hey James, thanks for the reply. After playing with deactivating and reactivating my license, the update started showing for some of the sites. Some others, I just deleted the plugin and uploaded a the latest version.
I also believe there is a bug with the latest PRO v5.2.0. Besides hiding its own meta boxes, it’s also hiding the meta boxes from other plugins. In my case, it was hiding the Events Organizer meta boxes(event details). I had to keep going to the “Screen Options” to show the events meta boxes again. I went back to v22.214.171.124 and fixed the problem. I hope that is fixed in the next release as I hate to keep using outdated plugins.
