IT WORKED!!!
Thank you so much!!!
If you mean that only that One has difference code from the other, is just a tentative i did to see if there was the problem, but It wasn’t
NO way to get custom fields showed for new post!!
Please help!!!
IF it can be usefull this is the json file of my fields
Browsing forum and Afc features i was asking to myself, maybe the best way to reach my goal is not the way i followed since now…
Maybe the fields repeater could do this job better than the way i did?!?
Open to any advice and help
Strange behaviour are:
– seems to work with post already created but not with new ones
– same code for showing the fields, but in some post someone shows and some not
– the code
if( !empty($pf_studi) ){
echo '<div class="one_third">';
echo '<h4>Studi</h4>';
echo '<div class="description">';
echo get_field('studi');
echo '</div>';
echo '</div>';
}
should shows only fields with some datas, but in some posts shows also empty fields.
Really don’t know if it’s something about AFC or maybe wrong code written by me
Hi John,
you were right!! Just checked the code of the page and found that i’ve inserted a wrong one. Don’t know why the fields data were displayed wrongly, i expected that with a wrong code nothing were diplayed
Not all’ the fields are implemented in the template yet, Just started with some One (cinema, teatro) when i found the problem. If you look in the template and in the post (try with Aran bertetto’s) you’ll see some of them displayed
Yes i did, i’ve added the code to display my custom fields
No cache. Same problem if you try with a blank new post
You go to the editor to edit the post, you click you mouse into the field.
Can you change the value or is it disabled so that you cannot enter changes?
No, i Can change the values but the changes are not visibile in the post
Is this something that happens when you try to update the post? Does it somehow fail to update and show the old values again?
It seems to Save the post, no error message are show, but no changes are displayed in the post
Sure. Here it is
The data are imported, u Can see them in the backend and in the frontend, but they can’t bè modified

update:
found some post on this forum about this problem, so i’ve:
– changed max_input_vars to 55555000 (a default value given from my hosting provider, but big enough)
– changed wp_options/option_name lenght to 256 (not sure i did it properly, see attached screenshot)
Unfortunatly my problem is stil there
just updated to 5.4.2 as you suggested, but it partially solved the problem.
Now if i modify a field in the backend the new datas are saved and visible but nothing happens in the back end
