The issue still persists. Like others mentioned, i too wrote a support ticket in early May 2025. The sidebar fix is indeed not satisfying and customers dont have the patience to wait for that long. Try explaining the workaround to non tech people and you’ll see what frustration looks like.
Also, i heard the team talking about adding a new option for the sidebar:
– custom width (which would solve the issue kind of)
– popup modal
so ACF-team: whats the status?! Because we don’t need inline editing right now, we need support for already implemented features. So please prioritize this!
@kevinspanish according to the changelog the issue should be fixed with version 6.3.5.

I would like to +1 @kevinspanish comment. Having a required field that is hidden by conditional logic seems to create that bug. As mentioned the error only occurs when the edit page is reloaded.
